My weigh in today brought me a loss of 1.4 and it also brought me to my lowest weight yet! 142's here I come! Actually, here I am. ;-)
I'm very thankful the 3 pounds I gained came off, and I'm surprised but grateful that instead of just maintaining, I'm continuing to lose on Atkins. I've never done Atkins before and I'm sort of just flying by the seat of my pants here, mostly just keeping my carbs to around 20 a day.
It works out really well because I can make things I like without breaking the carb bank. For example, yesterday I recreated my own personal version of a Starbucks Cinnamon Dolce Latte. It was super good. I just brewed coffee with cinnamon sprinkled on the grounds (this is delicious in itself!) and then added cream and vanilla flavored stevia. It was super good. I also make a faux "cheesecake". I used cream cheese, lemon juice and a bit of sour cream and mixed it up. I've made it with a bit of cocoa powder before too.
I feel good; I have energy and I'm sleeping pretty well (when the kids will allow it!). My size 13 junior pre-children jeans are now too big. They fall off all day and I can easily pull them off without unzipping or unbuttoning them. I'm hoping to hit up Maurice's next week and buy a new pair that will stay up!
I'm still busy as a bee packing and baking for our vacation. I do a little every day and then it's not so overwhelming.
