So far, So good

So I saw the OB today and he did the fetal fibronectin test to see if it was amniotic fluid.  He also did a cervical check, and so far things look good. It wasn't amniotic fluid and I'm not dilating.  He isn't sure why the baby has decreased her movement so drastically, but her heartbeat was nice and strong.

So, things are looking good and the doc will keep a close eye on both of us. :)

  2. I'm so glad, Ruth Anne!! I have been thinking of you OFTEN and got on blogger just to check if there was an update; thanks for posting!

I also wanted to share that with my last baby, it was so unexpected I really had a hard time. Because of that I was sure that God was probably going to take him away, or something bad would happen - or at least, it was like this nagging feeling in the back of my mind. I think just now, that he is almost 3 months old, I have been able to let go slowly but surely and really open my heart to him. It's really strange. Not because I didn't want him at all, (because as soon as he was born he was so sweet and I definitely was glad!!) but because there was like this guard up over my heart that I wouldn't open myself up to heartbreak when God took him. So strange - sometimes I wonder if it's just wacky hormones playing their part??

Anyway, I am so glad things are good with your sweet little girl, I can't wait to meet her. And so fun that there will be 4 little girls (including Joy's) born this summer in Salem! How special. =)
