Still Waiting

Still no sign of the drops, although I assume they'll show up at some point today.

In the meantime (and since it's naptime and I have some time) :-P I thought I'd blog a little about big heads on small bodies.

Yep, you read that right. Some people are way too thin for their own bodies. Their heads look oversized and disproportionate to their bodies.

See, this is what I mean:

Doesn't that just look ODD? It's like they are too skinny; they need more meat on their bones to counter the size of their head.

I, on the other hand, have the opposite problem.

I've got a pin head. A very small head. A child size head. No joke; I can wear children's sunglasses and hats. My body, however... well, that's a different story.

If you could take a pinhead and put it on a buddha-ish body... that's a fairly accurate description of moi. :-D

So what I'm hoping to attain during this diet is the right head to body proportion. My head is small, my wrists are small, my fingers are small. I definitely have extra, extra, extra padding on top of my smaller frame. So my goal is to say adios to that fat and be a slender, proportionate person.

That's my hope anyway. No more pin-sized-head-on-a-buddha-body for me. Just a normal looking, healthy girl. That's what I'm aiming for.

  1. ha ha yes it's true...I see it all the time...the big heads on skinny girls...definately NOt pretty! But I never thought your head was too something wrong with your mirror? HA HA!!
I dare you to post a full body pic of yourself now at this weight and see what your readers think!:)

  2. I hate to say anything bad about people but Tori looks HORRIBLE and that is not jealousy speaking because I would love to be thin like Kelly but Tori is so skinny it is ugly.

  3. I'm with Mary Beth on that one! Kelly is super thin, but she swears she eats...loves her cheese. I would like to see her with 10 pounds on.

Yeah, RA - post a full body picture. We'll probably think you're already thin...or almost there. Come on RA....

  4. Wow, RA, that was super interesting!! I think those girls are too thin, the first two especially look bad. Either that or you're just right, the head needs to be smaller.

It's been interesting for me to be on this journey and uncover, layer by layer, the right look for me. I've always been covered by a layer of flab to some degree too - after I had Marie and was not dieting, it had been 3 months since I had her, I was stalling at 180 pounds. I firmly believe that's where I would be today if I didn't try to get it off via diet or exercise. Now that I'm at 120, it's been weird to see my really small frame emerge - I think so much so, that I look foreign to people. Like a different person, and they view it as wrong, like I don't look like I should. BUT maybe all those years I didn't look like I should, and now I do? I don't know. I mean, obviously there is something to being too skinny, but there is a fine line I suppose.

I can't wait to see the new RA - to see what is hidden underneath, but I still maintain that you are one of the most beautiful girls I know and I've always thought that no matter what weight you are.

  5. Psssst those are bad Photoshopped pics. They probably are too thin, but no ones head is THAT out of proportion. ALL magazine photos are Photoshopped - someone just got a little too zealous with these LOL
